We've been gone!

Alex decided awhile back that during his shut down, we were going on a family vacation! *insert cheers*

We went to Mackinaw City!

Here was Nehemiah's reaction to the water!

Just me, oh....and the bridge

We went into a shop and when we were leaving the lady gave the kids each a shirt!

Who would want to get food from a store with this on top of it? My husband would! Twice!!

Know what this is??

All of us! :)

Nehemiah's favorite thing to do! Throw stones into the lake!

We got up Tuesday morning and headed up. We stopped at my inlaws to give Alex's sister her birthday gift and we were on our way!
Well, until we saw the outlet mall! Alex and I both got some things we were happy about!
We got up to Mackinaw at about 4:30 and headed straight to the beach. Wow, it was COLD!!!
After getting checked into the hotel we went for supper and had pasties.
Alot of our time was spent looking in the different shops. I liked going in and out of each one. Looking at the fudge, or little trinkets.
Both Nehemiah and Virginia were so well behaved while we were there! One morning at breakfast a lady stopped me and told me how great they were. I had to agree :)
I also heard someone say something about the "boy and girl twins" I laughed and kept walking.

I could go on and on about the fun we had....but I'm too tired. Plus I have to get ready for Nehemiah's birthday party!

  3. Well.........we have not been there yet. A year can change a lot. At this point I would settle for going any where! =)

  4. These are cool photos, how did I miss noticing the things you seen when I was there like the name in the sand. Next time, I be more watchful. Nehemiah looks like he is ever so levitating off the ground just a bit while he hurls rocks into the water.
